Ministry Purpose

This office is designed to fulfill the following objectives:

• Develop strategies for ministry to the Caribbean Region constituents
• Network with local leaders throughout the Caribbean
• Plan and conduct Leadership Seminars at the national and international levels in the Caribbean area
• Represent the International Department of Youth and Christian Education at national and international events
• Develop materials and methods for promotion and distribution, as outlined by the General Director
• Develop and distribute a Youth Ministries Newsletter for the Caribbean
• Develop a language strategy to transcend the language barrier in the Caribbean
• Maintain updated files for national and regional leaders in the Caribbean
• Chair the Caribbean Youth Ministries Advisory Committee
• Develop a "Caribbeanfest" program modeled after "Winterfest"
• Implement Youth and Christian Education programs currently not in use in the Caribbean area and continue to promote those programs in use and act as a resource person for them
• Recruit talented Caribbean young people to attend Church of God schools and universities.
• Provide Caribbean STEP opportunities
• Assist team leaders with full or partial arrangements in the coordinator of their STEP trips
• Develop and conduct orientation sessions with STEP teams prior to their departure
• Network and coordinate with leaders in host cities to prepare the activities for STEP teams
