Junior
Talent is a state and national program for children ages 7 - 12 and under
offering participation in four talent divisions: Art, Bible, Drama and Music.
Purpose:
- To help young people discover their talent; to motivate them to
develop their talent; to encourage them to dedicate their talent
to the Lord and use it in His service.
- To provide a platform for the Church of God youth to exercise
their abilities while being involved in an exciting learning experience.

Bible
Performance Requirements: (See Bible Instruction Manual for Complete Performance Requirements)
A participant or team is disqualified within ten minutes of the designated time and place at any level of competition.
The Spirit Filled Life Bible For Students NKJV edition 1242 is the official text for the Teaching, Quizzing, and Scripture Association categories.
Recording Policies:
To preserve the integrity of the competition process, no recordings, including both audio and video, are allowed except by competition officials.
This policy includes Individual/Team Bible quizzing and Teaching categories.
Categories:
A winner and runner-up are selected from each of the following areas of the Junior Talent Bible Division:
- Bible Teaching
- Team Bible Quizzing (3-5 players)
- Individual Bible Quizzing

Drama
Performance Requirements: (See the Drama Instruction Manual for Complete Performance Requirements)
Regulations and Guidelines should be adhered to strictly. This will enable all participants initially to stand the same ground and will provide a basis for comparison. When choosing a piece to perform, be sure to consult the description of categories to be sure that your selection meets the criteria required.
Performance time for Monologue and Solo Mime is 3-7 minutes. Performance time for Group Skit and Group Mime is 5-10 minutes. Group Play should be 15-30 minutes in length. Music Drama should be within 15-30 minutes in length.

A winner and runner-up are selected from each of the following six areas in the Junior Talent Drama Division:

- Group Skit
- Group Play (One Act)

Music
Performance Requirements: (See Music Instruction Manual for Complete Performance Requirements)
Local churches are permitted to enter only one choir, either small or large, in the national Junior Talent competition.
In the regional, state, national/international finals, participants in each category (with the exception of the choirs) perform one selection. Each choir performs two selections (one required song and one of free choice.)
A participant in the national finals is disqualified if he/she fails to appear at the designated time and place for his/her performance.
Maximum performance time for solos and ensembles is five minutes. Maximum performance time for all choirs is ten minutes.

There are seven categories in the Junior Talent Music Division with a total of nineteen areas of participation. A winner and runner-up are selected in each of the nineteen areas.

The entries will be judged on the state level.

Art
Performance Requirements: (See Art Instruction Manual for Complete Performance Requirements)
Each participant must complete an entry form and include with each art piece a project information sheet (included in the Art Instruction Manual).
Each entry must be the original work and idea of the participant. Reproductions of existing art will not be accepted. No crafts, kits, models or work from patterns are acceptable.
A participant may submit only one entry in each category, but may enter as many categories as he/she may desire. He/she may be awarded first place in no more than three categories.
Entries cannot be altered in any way during the period between the state and national competition.
Each participant will be responsible for delivery of his/her entry in both state and national competitions and will assume full liability of any damage that might occur during competition.
The competition is open to both religious and/or secular subject matter.
